The Steigenberger Akademie in Bad Reichenhall is an example of the company’s commitment to providing comprehensive theoretical and practical professional training for young people, both from Germany and abroad, to prepare them for the many different challenges and responsibilities in the hotel industry. In addition, young people from other companies can also benefit from the know-how of this European hotel corporation. The range of further education and training courses on offer includes:
- One-year vocational college for hotel management for entrants into the profession (state recognised)
- Two-year college of catering and hotel management (qualifying trainee as state-examined hotel management consultant)
- Three-year course on the economics of hotel management
- Three-month courses qualifying trainee as chef de cuisine, maître d'hotel or restaurant manager
- Instructor aptitude courses
All final qualifications and diplomas are recognised both nationally and internationally as highly respected standards in the hotel and catering trade. Since 1952 graduates have had their own organisation, where members can find professional and vocational support. Regular meetings and annual congresses promote team spirit and encourage all "Bad Reichenhaller" graduates to keep in touch.
